Hi all, did the Wallace & Gromit tag grab your attention ...lol ... Like the famous Nick Park latest clay figures adventure "A matter of loaf and death". OK OK a very loose link I know but this is a tale of my latest Loaf x 3.
I've always enjoyed cooking be it a 3 course meal, cakes (small to large) and bread. I find it very relaxing to cook at any level, after the demise of the third bread-maker some time ago I came to the conclusion that wasting more money on yet another machine was not a option. So nowadays I use just a good old Kenwood Chef Major and the old fashion way of kneading followed by the oven. Now there are lots of branded bread flour on the market from plain strong white to wholemeal but I've found some of the special flours that Allisons market are full of flavor and now with a selection of different shaped tins I'm really having fun producing all the bread we eat, from split tins, round malt and oatmeal to mini Hovis type loafs.
